19th August (High School)

Today I went to the Double Island with my host family's friend , which is a place that we could ride a car on the sand.

We rode on the sand for about 50 minutes. Time passed really fast because I was obsessed with the view of the beaches. The car was bumping really hard. After we parked the car, I went in the water by using a body board. While I was swimming, there was dozen jelly fish and little crabs. Also, I saw fish and turtles. My host father threw many crabs onto my body board and it was embarrassing. Since my buddy was good at surfing, I sat on the front and went to farther places.  

 

I will always cherish the time that I have spent together with my host family.  I want to say thank you to my host family for giving me such an unforgettable experience.

I went to Brisbane with my host family. I arrived at Brisbane at about 3:00 pm.

First, I went to the Queensland Museum. There, there were many things that I could learn about Australia. Especially, I was the most impressed by the Australian animals; there were Kangaroos, Platypus, Cockatoo things like that.

Secondly, I took a walk around there with my buddy. There were an artificially made beach, park and ferris wheel  there. It was little busy with sightseeing people. We had a picnic at there and it was really fun and beautiful. Next time, I want to go there with my family.

  Today was a very busy but exciting day. In the morning, we climber Mount Coolum instead of going to the University. Mount Coolum is 208m tall. It is a short but challenging walk to the top. At the top we rested and ate morning tea. After that, we returned to school and joined a grade 9 Japanese class in which students were paired together and asked one another questions about life in their respective countries. After lunch, we visited the school farm and students joined the students who look after the   miniature horses there and learned ho to care for, lead and run with the horses. The local students were very friendly and helpful and the students had a great time. It was a great day. I went to the school. Nest, we took a bus. We arrived at a mountain. There was a stone road that we followed to the top of the mountain. We were very tired but the view we could see at the top of the mountain was very beautiful. 20th August (High School)

I woke up at 7 AM. When I woke up my host family were watching a rugby game on TV. They are from South Africa so they were cheering. At 8:30 AM, my host brother and sister took me on a canoe ride. From the boat, I could see lots of fish in the water and it was so much fun. After that, we went to Moooloolaba Beach. We walked on the beach and went to the shops there. We came back home at 5:00 PM. My host sister and brother taught me how to   ride an electric scooter and we went to see the view on the scooters.   In the evening, we watched Fast and Furious and ate steak for dinner. 23rd August (High School)

I went to school at 8:00. In the morning, we had a lesson on the history of hunting in Australia in English at the outdoor theatre. Then we went to the oval and watched the aboriginal man throw boomerangs. In the afternoon, I took classes with my buddy. I went to P.E class. There, we played rugby. It was very hot and hard work but it was a lot of fun. After returning home, we ate ramen noodles and snacks brought from Japan. I hope to enjoy the remaining day of the trip. H.Y (High School. Boy) I woke up at 6:00. I ate corn flakes for breakfast. I took a bus with my host sisters. My host sister who is in grade 5 went to school camp, so today is the last day that we can go to school together.   In the morning, we attended an aboriginal workshop- it was interesting.
