12th August

 Today was my first weekend to spend with my host family. I was very tired since it was full of new things this week.

In the morning, I played table tennis, basketball, table soccer and uno. The equipment was all in the play room. I played these games with my host sister and brother. I was laughing the whole time because their reactions were so extreme and so funny. I also played a game called Tenzi for the first time. I couldn't win the game but it was simple fun and engaging.

In the afternoon, I went to watch an AFL (Australian Football League) game. The stadium was enormous and people were very competitive during the game. I was really happy that Brisbane won the game.

It was a fulfilling day.

I went to Aussie World with my buddy and two of my buddy's friends (Auby and Christie).  It is kind of an amusement park. It has many attractions such as scary roller coasters and a haunted house. It was my first time to ride a 360 degree loop attraction and go in a haunted house. In the haunted house, I sad to the cast members, "I  am from Japan. I don't know what you are saying! I am sorry, please forgive me". My friends thought this was very funny and laughed. It was scary but fun at the same time.

I think it was a nice experience for me to talk a lot with my new friends. I want to appreciate my host family. I'll do my best!

  Today was a very busy but exciting day. In the morning, we climber Mount Coolum instead of going to the University. Mount Coolum is 208m tall. It is a short but challenging walk to the top. At the top we rested and ate morning tea. After that, we returned to school and joined a grade 9 Japanese class in which students were paired together and asked one another questions about life in their respective countries. After lunch, we visited the school farm and students joined the students who look after the   miniature horses there and learned ho to care for, lead and run with the horses. The local students were very friendly and helpful and the students had a great time. It was a great day. I went to the school. Nest, we took a bus. We arrived at a mountain. There was a stone road that we followed to the top of the mountain. We were very tired but the view we could see at the top of the mountain was very beautiful. 20th August (High School)

I woke up at 7 AM. When I woke up my host family were watching a rugby game on TV. They are from South Africa so they were cheering. At 8:30 AM, my host brother and sister took me on a canoe ride. From the boat, I could see lots of fish in the water and it was so much fun. After that, we went to Moooloolaba Beach. We walked on the beach and went to the shops there. We came back home at 5:00 PM. My host sister and brother taught me how to   ride an electric scooter and we went to see the view on the scooters.   In the evening, we watched Fast and Furious and ate steak for dinner. 23rd August (High School)

I went to school at 8:00. In the morning, we had a lesson on the history of hunting in Australia in English at the outdoor theatre. Then we went to the oval and watched the aboriginal man throw boomerangs. In the afternoon, I took classes with my buddy. I went to P.E class. There, we played rugby. It was very hot and hard work but it was a lot of fun. After returning home, we ate ramen noodles and snacks brought from Japan. I hope to enjoy the remaining day of the trip. H.Y (High School. Boy) I woke up at 6:00. I ate corn flakes for breakfast. I took a bus with my host sisters. My host sister who is in grade 5 went to school camp, so today is the last day that we can go to school together.   In the morning, we attended an aboriginal workshop- it was interesting.
