【JHS】16th August

Today I went to Eumundi Market and Noosa Beach. At the Eumundi Market, I bought a variety of food and drinks. I also bought a ballpoint pen with Australian characters printed on it. It was very expensive. After that, we went to Noosa Beach. It was sunny and we could go in the sea. It was a lot of fun. After returning home, I went to see Bohdi in a basketball game . It was an overwhelming victory. Bohdi is very good at basketball.

Then we went home and had dinner. Carolyn's cooking is really delicious. After dinner I played Xbox NBA with Bohdi and his friends. I learned some new shooting techniques. It was a lot of fun. I was tired, so I went to bed before 9 pm. It was a very productive day.

Today we went to the Eumundi market and the Noosa Beach.

First we went to the Eumundi market. There were many people even though it was a normal day. At the market some students were drinking the lemonade and slushy that were sold there. Also I heard that my friends ate some waffles and churros. Unfortunately I had a big breakfast so I wasn’t hungry enough to have some food there. But there were great souvenirs at the market. I bought a hand towel which has kangaroos,koalas and Emus designed on it, and I bought a thing that is called a tea towel. I usually call the tea towel that I bought a  “Hukinn” in Japanese. I think that most of the students bought souvenirs at the market and enjoyed it.


After we went to the market we went to the Noosa beach.We had lunch at “Betty’s Burger” which is close to the beach. The burgers that they served were bigger than normal burgers in Japan. But the burgers and french fries were so good that I was able to eat the full burger. After lunch we went to the beach. The sun was shining, and it was so hot on the beach. At the beach most students put their feet in the water and cooled down. I also put my feet into the water. The water was cool and perfect. I was surprised to see some of my classmates going into the water with their normal clothes. I hope they don’t catch a cold. And that was an exciting but tiring day in Australia.

On Wednesday, we went to the Eumundi Market first. I walked in the market with my friends and I bought some jewelry and french fries. I was very glad I bought jewelry. French fries were very tasty. After that, we went to the burger shop. We had hamburgers and french fries. It was big but it was so delicious. Next, we went to the beach. Somebody swam into the ocean with their clothes. My friends and I got wet. I took many pictures, we took pictures of everyone jumping. The sea was very clear and beautiful. It was a nice memory in Australia.

  Today was a very busy but exciting day. In the morning, we climber Mount Coolum instead of going to the University. Mount Coolum is 208m tall. It is a short but challenging walk to the top. At the top we rested and ate morning tea. After that, we returned to school and joined a grade 9 Japanese class in which students were paired together and asked one another questions about life in their respective countries. After lunch, we visited the school farm and students joined the students who look after the   miniature horses there and learned ho to care for, lead and run with the horses. The local students were very friendly and helpful and the students had a great time. It was a great day. I went to the school. Nest, we took a bus. We arrived at a mountain. There was a stone road that we followed to the top of the mountain. We were very tired but the view we could see at the top of the mountain was very beautiful. 20th August (High School)

I woke up at 7 AM. When I woke up my host family were watching a rugby game on TV. They are from South Africa so they were cheering. At 8:30 AM, my host brother and sister took me on a canoe ride. From the boat, I could see lots of fish in the water and it was so much fun. After that, we went to Moooloolaba Beach. We walked on the beach and went to the shops there. We came back home at 5:00 PM. My host sister and brother taught me how to   ride an electric scooter and we went to see the view on the scooters.   In the evening, we watched Fast and Furious and ate steak for dinner. 23rd August (High School)

I went to school at 8:00. In the morning, we had a lesson on the history of hunting in Australia in English at the outdoor theatre. Then we went to the oval and watched the aboriginal man throw boomerangs. In the afternoon, I took classes with my buddy. I went to P.E class. There, we played rugby. It was very hot and hard work but it was a lot of fun. After returning home, we ate ramen noodles and snacks brought from Japan. I hope to enjoy the remaining day of the trip. H.Y (High School. Boy) I woke up at 6:00. I ate corn flakes for breakfast. I took a bus with my host sisters. My host sister who is in grade 5 went to school camp, so today is the last day that we can go to school together.   In the morning, we attended an aboriginal workshop- it was interesting.
