【JHS】19th August

I ate waffles and pancakes for breakfast. It was so delicious.

After that, we went to see my host sisters' gymnastics. They were so cool and did a lot of things I never thought I could do. Next, we watched my host brother's soccer game. I was glad he won the match. At that time we ate potatoes and they were delicious. And we went home with his friends and ate a sandwich and potato chips for lunch.

After that, we played soccer on the deck with them, and it was a lot of fun.

Finally, we went to watch the World Cup game. I was surprised because the power was different from watching it on TV. We ate popatoes and sweets there too. It was a lot of fun making waves and listening to songs while cheering. I felt that time passed quickly.

It was fun day, playing, watching soccer, and eating lots of potatoes.

In this morning, I got up at 8:00. My host sister made pancakes for breakfast. I put on many toppings such as strawberries and maple syrup. These were very yummy.

At 11:00, I left home to go to beach. Water was very clear, so my roommate and I were excited and enjoyed into the water. Later I was stung by a fly, but my first host sister said to me, "You will get better soon."

I had hot chips, oysters and fish fries for lunch at the park. Host family taught me the bird which most live in Australia.

After we arrived at home, my pair and I cooked curry and rice for dinner. We used vegetables which we had bought at the supermarket with my host family and chicken. The curry was a little thin but my host mother was pleased with it. We were delighted.

At night, I watched a movie, Heart of Stone, with my host family. It was an action movie, so it was thrilling and interesting. My host family made cocoa with marshmallo for us. I had a good day.

Today we went to the beach near our house. It took about 20 minutes to get there. On our way there, we ate fish and chips for our lunch. It was very delicious. We also had potato cakes with the fishes and chips. After we finished eating, we took some pictures. We went to the beach where we all got very wet. The sand was very soft, and just standing there made the sand sink. We had an enjoyable time at the beach. Later on, we ate ice cream at the shop near the beach. I had a caramel taste ice cream which tasted very sweet. We went home later and went to sleep. It was a very fun experience.

  Today was a very busy but exciting day. In the morning, we climber Mount Coolum instead of going to the University. Mount Coolum is 208m tall. It is a short but challenging walk to the top. At the top we rested and ate morning tea. After that, we returned to school and joined a grade 9 Japanese class in which students were paired together and asked one another questions about life in their respective countries. After lunch, we visited the school farm and students joined the students who look after the   miniature horses there and learned ho to care for, lead and run with the horses. The local students were very friendly and helpful and the students had a great time. It was a great day. I went to the school. Nest, we took a bus. We arrived at a mountain. There was a stone road that we followed to the top of the mountain. We were very tired but the view we could see at the top of the mountain was very beautiful. 20th August (High School)

I woke up at 7 AM. When I woke up my host family were watching a rugby game on TV. They are from South Africa so they were cheering. At 8:30 AM, my host brother and sister took me on a canoe ride. From the boat, I could see lots of fish in the water and it was so much fun. After that, we went to Moooloolaba Beach. We walked on the beach and went to the shops there. We came back home at 5:00 PM. My host sister and brother taught me how to   ride an electric scooter and we went to see the view on the scooters.   In the evening, we watched Fast and Furious and ate steak for dinner. 23rd August (High School)

I went to school at 8:00. In the morning, we had a lesson on the history of hunting in Australia in English at the outdoor theatre. Then we went to the oval and watched the aboriginal man throw boomerangs. In the afternoon, I took classes with my buddy. I went to P.E class. There, we played rugby. It was very hot and hard work but it was a lot of fun. After returning home, we ate ramen noodles and snacks brought from Japan. I hope to enjoy the remaining day of the trip. H.Y (High School. Boy) I woke up at 6:00. I ate corn flakes for breakfast. I took a bus with my host sisters. My host sister who is in grade 5 went to school camp, so today is the last day that we can go to school together.   In the morning, we attended an aboriginal workshop- it was interesting.
