【JHS】20th August

 Today, I waked up at 8:30. I had no school today, so I’ve slept for 11 hours, but it was too long time to sleep for me. I had serials and bananas for breakfast. 

After that, we went to the church. It was the first time to go to the church for me. I saw some Japanese students there. All people in the church sang songs together, and I was talking something with some girls then. People who came there served me a hot dog for morning tea, and it was delicious. 

We had lunch at home. My host father made toast for my roommate and me. There were two eggs, butter, ham, and cheese on it. He also served us African spicy snacks. I usually eat just toast with eggs for breakfast in Australia, so it was a special lunch for me. 

In the afternoon, we went to the beach. We walked around there, and some girls gave me beautiful stones. Also, there were a lot of sea animals like clubs. One of girls’ parents gave me ice cream, and it was very tasty. 

I had fish and chips for dinner there. It was too lot for me, so I was very full. Also, I got wet in the sea, so it was so cold to stay there in the evening. Some Japanese high school students talked to my roommate and me, and we were talking about our Australia life. 

After we got home, I took shower early. My host mother served me hot tea, and there ware honey and milk in it. I went to bed early to wake up early on the next day. I’m going go Ginger Factory tomorrow, so I’m so excited!

Today I woke up at 7.30am.

This morning I ate Crumpet and went out with my host family. The scenery and roads in Australia were different from those in Japan, so it felt fresh.

First we went horse riding. It was difficult because I could not tame him as well as on TV. But it was a lot of fun.

For lunch we had ramen noodles and meat pies.

After lunch we went to the rainforest museum. Here we were taken into the rainforest and could see strange trees and small kangaroos.

Finally, we went to a shopping centre to buy souvenirs for my family - I spent about $50 and bought Australian sweets and cups.

Today was a great day because my host family took me to many places.

I went to 「Tree top challenge」today. It is an athletic on the tree.There are many courses from easy to hard. I tried a hard course, so I got very tired. Host family Annabelle easily cleared the most hard course!

In the evening, I went to the market to buy sweets and breakfast. It was bigger than the Japanese market and had a good selection. We all ate Indian curry for dinner. Butter chicken curry was delicious. After dinner, we all played puzzle games and watched soccer.

  Today was a very busy but exciting day. In the morning, we climber Mount Coolum instead of going to the University. Mount Coolum is 208m tall. It is a short but challenging walk to the top. At the top we rested and ate morning tea. After that, we returned to school and joined a grade 9 Japanese class in which students were paired together and asked one another questions about life in their respective countries. After lunch, we visited the school farm and students joined the students who look after the   miniature horses there and learned ho to care for, lead and run with the horses. The local students were very friendly and helpful and the students had a great time. It was a great day. I went to the school. Nest, we took a bus. We arrived at a mountain. There was a stone road that we followed to the top of the mountain. We were very tired but the view we could see at the top of the mountain was very beautiful. 20th August (High School)

I woke up at 7 AM. When I woke up my host family were watching a rugby game on TV. They are from South Africa so they were cheering. At 8:30 AM, my host brother and sister took me on a canoe ride. From the boat, I could see lots of fish in the water and it was so much fun. After that, we went to Moooloolaba Beach. We walked on the beach and went to the shops there. We came back home at 5:00 PM. My host sister and brother taught me how to   ride an electric scooter and we went to see the view on the scooters.   In the evening, we watched Fast and Furious and ate steak for dinner. 23rd August (High School)

I went to school at 8:00. In the morning, we had a lesson on the history of hunting in Australia in English at the outdoor theatre. Then we went to the oval and watched the aboriginal man throw boomerangs. In the afternoon, I took classes with my buddy. I went to P.E class. There, we played rugby. It was very hot and hard work but it was a lot of fun. After returning home, we ate ramen noodles and snacks brought from Japan. I hope to enjoy the remaining day of the trip. H.Y (High School. Boy) I woke up at 6:00. I ate corn flakes for breakfast. I took a bus with my host sisters. My host sister who is in grade 5 went to school camp, so today is the last day that we can go to school together.   In the morning, we attended an aboriginal workshop- it was interesting.
