【JHS】21st August

Today we had ESL class. We wrote about our weekend and watched a video about the first people in Australia. I read about Tribes-of the first peoples. Other people talked about ancient sports and games and weapons. It was fun. After the class, we went to the Ginger Factory. I ate chocolate chip cookies and ginger cookies. It was delicious and I ate my friend’s ice cream. It was so good. I took a factory tour and rode a boat attraction and I got on the train. It was a lot of fun. 

Then we went home and we had dinner. We had meat pie. I ate Australian meat pie for the first time. It was so delicious. I want to eat again. It was a very good day in Australia.

I woke up at 6:40. I got up later than usual,becauseI I was very tired. I ate serial for breakfast.It was delicious. After I went to the school, I took ESL classes. I studied about “aborigines” and “Plant Foods of the first people”. I didn’t know about aborigines well, so it was very interesting for me.

After that I got on the bus to go to the ginger factory. On the bus I had a sandwich and potato chips. I love the sandwich which was made by my host mother.

At the ginger factory I studied about ginger. The history of ginger was very interesting for me. I was surprised at the many uses of ginger. Also, I rode a train there. The view was very beautiful. I want to go to the ginger factory again.

I ate corn flakes In the morning. It is so good. ilike corn flakes. 

Today I was talking about "How was your weekend?" in the ESL class. I went to EKKA this weekend. EKKA is a big festival. I rode a big ride. I thought I was dying. 

My friend who is jo.He went to the beach.He said he enjoyed swimming in the beach.During the 10:45 to 11:10 break, we had refreshments with our buddies!

Then, after ESL classes, we took a bus to the ginger factory at 12:00 pm!At the ginger factory, you can see the process of making ginger and even ride on a ginger factory ride!

Then, after taking the bus from the ginger factory to school, we drove to my host family's grandma's house where we all fished and ate together.

After we left after fishing, we played with the dogs, took showers and went to bed!

  Today was a very busy but exciting day. In the morning, we climber Mount Coolum instead of going to the University. Mount Coolum is 208m tall. It is a short but challenging walk to the top. At the top we rested and ate morning tea. After that, we returned to school and joined a grade 9 Japanese class in which students were paired together and asked one another questions about life in their respective countries. After lunch, we visited the school farm and students joined the students who look after the   miniature horses there and learned ho to care for, lead and run with the horses. The local students were very friendly and helpful and the students had a great time. It was a great day. I went to the school. Nest, we took a bus. We arrived at a mountain. 20th August (High School)

I woke up at 7 AM. When I woke up my host family were watching a rugby game on TV. They are from South Africa so they were cheering. At 8:30 AM, my host brother and sister took me on a canoe ride. From the boat, I could see lots of fish in the water and it was so much fun. After that, we went to Moooloolaba Beach. We walked on the beach and went to the shops there. We came back home at 5:00 PM. My host sister and brother taught me how to   ride an electric scooter and we went to see the view on the scooters.   In the evening, we watched Fast and Furious and ate steak for dinner. 23rd August (High School)

I went to school at 8:00. In the morning, we had a lesson on the history of hunting in Australia in English at the outdoor theatre. Then we went to the oval and watched the aboriginal man throw boomerangs. In the afternoon, I took classes with my buddy. I went to P.E class. There, we played rugby. It was very hot and hard work but it was a lot of fun. After returning home, we ate ramen noodles and snacks brought from Japan. I hope to enjoy the remaining day of the trip. H.Y (High School. Boy) I woke up at 6:00. I ate corn flakes for breakfast. I took a bus with my host sisters. My host sister who is in grade 5 went to school camp, so today is the last day that we can go to school together.   In the morning, we attended an aboriginal workshop- it was interesting.
