【JHS】23rd August

It’s Wednesday today. 

We had a Indigenous workshop in the morning. I found it very interesting about aboriginal people. The experience of throwing the boomerang was very fun, but catching it was difficult. 

After that, we had a class integration. First I went to the farm and I planted seedlings and observed. I was able to do well because the NCC students were very kind to me. Then I attended a Japanese class. It was a good experience for me to interact with NCC students. 

In the afternoon, we played sports with middle school students. I was impressed by the fact that we all did the Australian dance together. 

There are only 3 days left. I want to do everything I can and go back to Japan without regrets.

We had an aboriginal work shop in the morning. It was about history of Australian. After that, we went to the square and some people threw a boomerang. There were many NCC students who was playing rugby. When we went back, we change our clothes. And, we had morning tea time. We splited into 2 teams. My team went to the farm. We tried to plant a plant (propagation). It was a bit difficult. And, change with the other group and we had Japanese class. I talked with a student. It was fun. After, we had lunch time. We went to the stadium, and splited into 4 teams. My team went to farm, and play with horse. The others team played valleyball, rugby, dance. After, we got together again, and dance the Australian dance. It was awesome! After school, I went to my host family's house and played table tennis with Yumeri. When we were tired, we went into the house, and studied. During that, my body was playing net ball. We ate spaghetti and some fruits for dinner. It was delicious! We took a shower and watched Harry Potter. When we were tired, we went to the bed.

We didn’t have ESL today. First, we learned about Aboriginal Australians. I learned that they used interesting tools. The tools was like the Yayoi Era’s ones. After that, some students threw the boomerang. The boomerang was amazing. It flew so high! And I walk and do the technique with horses. It was my first time to touch horses. Horses were so cute and fluffy, but a lot of flies were flying around. However, when the technique was successful I felt so excited a lot. I want try it again!

  Today was a very busy but exciting day. In the morning, we climber Mount Coolum instead of going to the University. Mount Coolum is 208m tall. It is a short but challenging walk to the top. At the top we rested and ate morning tea. After that, we returned to school and joined a grade 9 Japanese class in which students were paired together and asked one another questions about life in their respective countries. After lunch, we visited the school farm and students joined the students who look after the   miniature horses there and learned ho to care for, lead and run with the horses. The local students were very friendly and helpful and the students had a great time. It was a great day. I went to the school. Nest, we took a bus. We arrived at a mountain. There was a stone road that we followed to the top of the mountain. We were very tired but the view we could see at the top of the mountain was very beautiful. 20th August (High School)

I woke up at 7 AM. When I woke up my host family were watching a rugby game on TV. They are from South Africa so they were cheering. At 8:30 AM, my host brother and sister took me on a canoe ride. From the boat, I could see lots of fish in the water and it was so much fun. After that, we went to Moooloolaba Beach. We walked on the beach and went to the shops there. We came back home at 5:00 PM. My host sister and brother taught me how to   ride an electric scooter and we went to see the view on the scooters.   In the evening, we watched Fast and Furious and ate steak for dinner. 23rd August (High School)

I went to school at 8:00. In the morning, we had a lesson on the history of hunting in Australia in English at the outdoor theatre. Then we went to the oval and watched the aboriginal man throw boomerangs. In the afternoon, I took classes with my buddy. I went to P.E class. There, we played rugby. It was very hot and hard work but it was a lot of fun. After returning home, we ate ramen noodles and snacks brought from Japan. I hope to enjoy the remaining day of the trip. H.Y (High School. Boy) I woke up at 6:00. I ate corn flakes for breakfast. I took a bus with my host sisters. My host sister who is in grade 5 went to school camp, so today is the last day that we can go to school together.   In the morning, we attended an aboriginal workshop- it was interesting.
